By downloading or using Journeyman Voice Calcs, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Nature of Service
Journeyman Voice Calcs is a calculation reference tool only. It is NOT engineering software. The app provides trade math calculations for planning and reference purposes using voice input, with answers formatted in tape-measure fractions.
Not Professional Advice
Journeyman Voice Calcs is not a substitute for professional judgment. The app does not provide:
- Professional engineering calculations or analysis
- Structural component sizing or load calculations
- Building code analysis or compliance verification
- Licensed contractor, architect, or engineer services
All structural component sizing, load calculations, and construction decisions must be:
- Verified by a licensed engineer or qualified professional
- Compliant with local building codes and regulations
- Approved per municipality requirements
Estimation Limitations
Calculations provided by the app are estimates for reference only. Actual requirements may vary due to factors including but not limited to:
- Local building code requirements
- Site-specific conditions (soil, climate, elevation, seismic zone)
- Material specifications and availability

You are solely responsible for verifying all calculations before making purchasing decisions or beginning construction work.
Assumption of Risk
By using this app, you acknowledge that:

- Results should not replace professional engineering judgment
- You bear all responsibility for construction decisions based on app output
- Local building codes and professional verification supersede any calculation provided by this app
Subscriptions
Journeyman Voice Calcs offers the following purchase options:
- Monthly: $2.99/month — Pro features
- Yearly: $24.99/year — Pro features
- Lifetime: $55.00 one-time — Pro features forever
Auto-Renewal
Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing Subscriptions
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Apple ID account settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.
Free Tier
All 155+ trade formulas are available for free with voice input, fraction-formatted answers, and Show the Math breakdowns. Pro adds finer fraction precision and unlimited calculation history.
In-App Purchases
All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, and functionality of Journeyman Voice Calcs are owned by Tree City Software LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Warranty Disclaimer
Journeyman Voice Calcs is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- Calculations will be accurate, complete, or reliable for any specific purpose
- The app will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Results will meet your specific requirements or comply with local building codes
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Tree City Software LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, goodwill, use, or data
- Property damage resulting from construction decisions
- Cost of materials purchased based on app calculations
- Costs arising from construction work performed using app output
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the use of the app shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty dollars ($50.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tree City Software LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the app
- Materials purchased or construction work performed based on app calculations
- Your violation of these terms
- Your violation of any applicable laws, codes, or regulations
Privacy
Your use of Journeyman Voice Calcs is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
